Medve Dome offers a luxurious camping experience allowing you to disconnect, unwind and relax. Perfect if you want to be in contact with nature yet afraid to sleep outside in a traditional tent or not ready to leave behind the comfort of having a hot shower and a cozy bed.

THE ROOM

Medve Dome is equipped with a Double Bed downstairs and one in the mezzanine, allowing you a better view of the skyline window where you can stare at the sky and watch the stars. It can be a truly memorable and romantic experience.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA

Hiking & Walking

There are a lot of beautiful places to choose from. Harghita Madaras (1801m) and Harghita Bai (1350m) have some amazing trails with amazing views, while Harghita Madaras has a secret trail to a small waterfall. Gorge of Varghis is one of the most amazing gorges in the whole country with hundreds of caves and cute bridges to cross. Further away there's Lake Zetea, the locals' favorite, where you can practice water sports, fish or take a dip in the water.

Leisure Center & Thermal Baths

Vlahita has some of the best leisure centers and thermal baths in the area. Homorod leisure center has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna and salt water pools. And Vlahita town has 3 thermal baths to choose from and one of them has natural hot water coming from the ground having a therapeutic effect on the body.

Kids Choice

They can enjoy themselves in the garden while you relax. There are games and a trampoline for them to enjoy. There is a newly opened Bobsleigh Track in Homorod Bai and a Balu Park in Harghita Bai suitable for kids as well as adults. Mini Transylvania park is something they would also like.

Leisure Activities

If you want to enjoy a real break you can go for a stroll in the woods, read a book, meditate or just chill in the garden.

Horse Riding

In the area, you have a lot of horse riding possibilities for children and adults alike. There are horse riding tours as well.

Winter Activities

Plenty of opportunities for winter sports. Harghita Bai and Harghita Madaras are some of the best ski stations in Transylvania with excellent slopes of various levels. There are horse and dog-drawn sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, ice skating rinks, and small slopes for children to slide on. Ski and snowboarding courses are available as well.

“The tent was bigger and better in real life than in the photos, Barbara warmed up the lovely tub ahead of our arrival, and the setting was stunning! It felt like a secluded piece of forest but was accessible and safe. The kitchen was compact but modern and had everything we needed, the bathroom was lovely. It has all the benefits of being in nature but with all the comforts of a boutique hotel, and the care of family ownership. There were slippers and games for the whole family. We couldn’t have wished for more - except to stay longer!“

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking is available on site.

Is it accesible by a low car?

Yes, the road on the street is in a very good condition, it can be accessed by any car.

Is there a restaurant?

The nearest restaurants are about 5 km away. They also do delivery to the Dome.

Is there any food option at the property?

No, we don't provide food at the Dome. There is a kitchen inside and a grill outside. The nearest restaurants and supermarkets are about 5km away, restaurants deliver food to the Dome as well.

Is there a posibility for a barbeque?

Yes, charcoal is also provided.

Is there A/C in the Dome?

There's no A/C. But there is a fan that helps to make the air inside a little bit more bereable in the hot summer days. We recommend to enjoy the nature outside, there are pleanty of shades around the Dome to relax in a hammock or on the sun beds.
